Dresden to Fairytale Peaks: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland

Wow, what a great tour! Our guide, Barbora, and our driver, Vojta, we're wonderful. Barbora took us on the hikes. First was Bastei bridge. Let me tell you that the photos you see do it no justice. It is much better to see in person. Amazing view. And the next hike we went up to the rock arch. Now, the climb there is tough. I won't lie. I am out of shape, and it about kicked my butt. However, the arch and the view up top were worth it. Amazing. And then we had a meal at a traditional Czech restaurant. It was so good. Perfect meal. And then the final hike, much easier. I have to say we were unprepared for the 3 hikes, but now I can say the tour was well worth it. I highly recommend! So, because the name of the hike is confusing, here's the easy version to understand. The location of all this is a national park that is in both Germany and the Czech Republic. Saxon is German, and Bohemian is Czech. The Switzerland part of the name is just because the people who named the park said it reminded them of Switzerland. Soo, it's a tour of one big park, half German and half Czech. 3 hikes. And one restaurant stop.

So thoroughly enjoyed my day on this tour. Andrea the tour guide was the best - super knowledgeable and friendly. She made me feel included as the one solo traveler and really cultivated a good group vibe. Each of the three stops was beautiful in its own way. Our driver Vojta was excellent as well. Highly recommend!

Not as described. Sandstone pinnacles are amazing but there's no castle. Main hike is to see an arch, but very anti- climatic after walking through a burned out forest.

The trip is arranged very nicely. The scenery is beautiful and the lunch is good. Especially both tour guide and driver are very friendly and offered professional service.

Fantastic tour. Barbara was an outstanding tour guide. The scenery was magnificent. It was a bit strenuous but manageable.

The tour is terrific, with a great small group feel, made better by the explanations from the tour guide and the driver (2 staff to 5 guests was excellent, and Barbora was wonderful). The rock formations and sights are interesting, perhaps not mind blowing, but the day was brilliant and I would definitely recommend it. 10km of walking was involved, but the countryside made it all worthwhile.

Thank you very much for an amazing day and experience! We enjoyed the tour a lot. Our guide Andrea did a great job and we got to know a lot of interesting facts and historical information. We travelled with 6 and 8 year olds and they were also very interested and enjoyed the hikes and views very much. We travelled in a comfortable minivan in a small group of people which felt like an easy and quick ride. Thanks again for such an amazing trip!

If you’re on a Germany tour and want to get into nature for a day, this is a great trip. Pick-up and drop-off at your hotel, and everything is taken care of. Great sights, amazing views, and you’ll certainly get your steps in for the day. The natural features we saw were quite unique, and our tour guides (Dalibura and Milan) did a wonderful job of explaining things. Five stars.
